The Studio@620 presents our monthly Poetry Open Mic event, hosted by Keep St. Pete Lit . Together we bring area writers a recurring opportunity to share their work! Each event will include a featured poet. This month our featured poet is Miesha Brundridge! Interested readers may sign up upon arrival. Make plans to join us the last Wednesday of each month. Miesha has been writing since middle school. She was raised in Lakeland, FL with her twin sister and younger brother. Miesha has published poems such as, “Being a Butterfly,” in the International Poetry Society, along with a few others. Miesha takes part in open mics across Pinellas County. She served 6 years in the army as a Medical logistics specialist and Unit Supply from 2009-2015 then medically retired after having 2 double-bilateral leg surgeries. She writes poetry about love, time, and patience. She published her first poetry memoir, A Beautiful Disaster,” in Sept. 2018. Miesha holds a Bachelors and Masters in Criminal Justice with a crime scene technology certification. She is currently finishing her 2nd Masters in Forensic Psychology.
